In May 2019, I hit a breaking point. Work had slowly chewed away my energy, and I was spiraling toward burnout. By August, I knew I had to do something bold — so I left. I packed my bags and flew to the Lofoten Islands in Norway, deep within the Arctic Circle, where time seemed to bend and nature whispered, "Just be."
There were three of us. We stayed in a tiny wooden cabin, surrounded by vast sky, mossy mountains, and crystal fjords. Mornings began with quiet breakfasts, then we’d walk straight into the wilderness — no plans, no pings, no pressure.
And because it was the Midnight Sun season, we’d explore until 9PM, the golden light still lingering like a soft promise.
It was simple. But it saved me.
Being in nature — especially in a space without endless notifications, emails, and mental clutter — helps your nervous system downshift. You move from survival mode into human mode.
Cabins give you permission to do less, and feel more.
You slow down, sleep better, hear birds again. And the space around you becomes the space inside you — quiet, calm, and gently restored.

Maybe you can’t fly to Norway next week — I get it. But what if you could create a mini cabin moment wherever you are?
☕ Turn off your phone for an hour.
🌲 Sit near trees or water.
📓 Write what you feel, not what you have to do.
These moments won’t fix everything. But they will remind you:
You are still here. You are still you. And that’s worth coming back to.
